West African Wood (WAW) is headquartered in Washington, DC and maintains an operational office in the Central African city of Douala, Cameroon. WAW markets and sells quality hard woods from Central and West Africa throughout the world. Our corporate goal is to provide our customer's hard wood product requirements in the most efficient and timely manner possible. We realize the competitive nature of our industry and therefore attempt to be as cost conscious as possible. Our African office controls all aspects of our operations to include: hand picking our logs; the preparation of our products; and the facilitation of shipping products to our customers. Our qualified staffs in both the United States and Africa have more than 40 years of combined experience selling African hard woods. Our staff's experience covers all aspects of the wood production process from harvesting to final shipment from Douala Port. We never lose sight of the strict ecological standards and environmental regulations (sustainability) that must be observed. We closely monitor the delicate balance that must be maintained between harvesting our precious forests and preserving these unique woods for future generations.
